Claudio Vaccarella,
Managing Director and founder of Smarten Software
Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Graduate (1981) from Universitα degli Studi di Roma - "la Sapienza". After working for seven years on distributed open systems for various important private companies, Claudio Vaccarella founded in 1988, the Consultancy & Projects Group, a software/system house whose core business is the analysis, design and development of Operational and Business Support Systems. Since 1996 Claudio Vaccarella has concentrated his efforts towards the inception and development of Service Management Systems to address the fulfilment, assurance and billing for IP-based services. In January 1999, he founded Smarten Software, to develop and market Smarten R2 an end-to- end, real-time, integrated service management system specifically designed and suited to manage IP services. Claudio is a member of the Object Management Group (OMG), TeleManagement Forum, the IEEE Communication Society and the Computer Society. Claudio continues to contribute to affiliated work with Universitα degli studi di Roma - "la Sapienza" and with CNR, the Consiglio Nazionale Ricerche.


Christian Marchesi,
General Manager
Graduate (1986) in Engineering from Universitα degli studi di Roma - "la Sapienza", Christian Marchesi began his professional career with the international industrial and construction group, Vianini, where - as Assistant Managing Director - he was responsible for the development of international new business lines. Christian Marchesi joined the film and TV production company Lux, in 1994, where as General Manager, he contributed to doubling the turnover over a two year period. In 1997 he joined the Consultancy & Projects Group, again in the role of General Manager and as a partner in the business, where he contributed his management experience to the successful running of the company. Christian Marchesi joined Smarten Software at inception in 1999.


Fabrizio Corsi,
Chief Technical Officer
Degree in Electronic Engineering in 1985 at Rome University La Sapienza. Initial working experiences in military and aerospace industry as programmers and then as system engineer in areospace domain. >From 1990 to 1993 he was project leader in the development of satellite ground segments. In 1994 he joined the Research & Development Departement of Ericsson Telecomunicazioni SpA as Software Line Manager. Significant application fields concerned the control systems of ATM switches, AXE switch devices, wireline and wireless broadband access networks and GSM radio base stations. Since mid-1999 he joined Smarten Software as Chief Technical Officer. projects for the Smarten product.

Augusto Coppola,
Head of Product Line
Augusto Coppola Graduate in Electronic Engineering, specialising in Computer Science, from the Universitα degli Studi di Roma - "la Sapienza". Augusto Coppola has ten years' experience in software development, obtained from being both a Project and Technical Manager on several projects for companies such as Datamat Rome, in various fields including: Satellite Ground Station Facilities, Naval Command and Control Systems, Operational and Business Support Systems. Augusto Coppola has been an integral member of the Smarten design team since Smarten Software's inception phase and has directly managed the first important projects for the Smarten product.
